About our Belize Wedding Planner

Mrs. Solie Arguelles has been one of the main event planners for pageants, conventions and stadium events in Belize since 1969. Her business has grown and flourished over the years to the point where her name has become synonymous with event planning in Belize. She has over 3 decades of experience and can confidently boast about hundreds of successful events. Not only can she organize and produce flawlessly, she has the skill to manage multiple events at the same time. Known affectionately as Miss Solie, the loving mother of 4 sons has become a VIP when it comes to any kind of event planning in Belize.  

Overview of Accomplishments: 

• 1966  - Graduated from St. Xavier College, Chicago Illinois,with B.A  in Sociology

• 1969 to 1982  - organized the Queen of the Bay Pageants

• 1978  - opened Florasol downtown as a garden & floral shop

• 1980  - got the Franchise for Teleflora previously named AMERICAN FLORAL SERVICE

• 1981  - chairperson for the Decorating Committee for Independence Day Celebrations

• 1983 to 1995  - organized the Ms. Belize Pageants for the country

• 1984  - got the Franchise for FTD, Floral Transworld Delivery

• 1987 – Campaign Manager for The Right Honorable Manuel Esquivel, past Prime Minister

 Other events include:

• Parade routes for visit of Prince Phillip and State Dinner for Queen Elizabeth

• Organized Protocol for VIP events for state visitors and diplomats

• First prize at the Festival of Arts for choreography and set design

• Carnival Mas Bands under her tutelage for 12 years

• Took summer courses at Teleflora Education Center and received the 1^st prize for Creative Design.
